Hi everyone, looking at an LC and received these pics from seller. truck has just under 200k miles and supposedly from the southwest does it looks like the underside has been coated with some type of rust inhibitor?

Not enough light in the photos to give an accurate assessment of the frame finish. The rear axle housing does look like it has been painted...

wow, a rare photo of the magical frame weight (i think).

been on the 100 board for 5+ years and never seen a photo of that thing (mine is missing). 'course havn't looked for that specific item.

Looks pretty clean to me but it's also evident someone spent some time under it "beautiftying" for the sale. Is the seller one of those smaller independent dealers? This is almost standard practice for them.

Dude this vehicle is totally rust free and yeah maybe someone sprayed something on it but it's definitely not a rusty vehicle that was just spray painted black to cover it up. That looks factory fresh and as noted earlier seeing exhaust bolts not rusted at all is rare.

Not necessarily all originally but someone definitely kept up with this vehicle


Enter VIN on Toyota owners and see what you can find, otherwise treat this like any other used car purchase and check it all over in person

I looked at a few 100s there and inquired about 1 but I got the feeling of salesman BS instantly. After reading the above thread it seems I did myself a solid ignoring them.
