Any remote possibilities for the spot being filled yet?

What does everyone want to do about trail planning? Doing anything ahead of time or just wait and decide when we all arrive?

rumors of a possible 4th have been heard but nuthin' confirmed yet.

To a large degree I'm relying on you guys to set an agenda, wanna do some hardcore stuff and of course some of the "gotta see" stuff too.

I say just plan day to day. I am brining my wagon so not going to be doin the hard core stuff not sure how much hard core Andy and Henry will want to do so we may be in two groups some days.

This is pretty much what I am thinking too. If anyone has time to come up with a more specific list of trails they want to do, just put that together and upon arrival we'll compare lists and prioritize trails by overall desire, distance, time, weather, etc.

My 40 is fixed and running well!

no doubt.

any firm confirmation on the 4th spot being filled?

Also looks like my nephew may fly out and ride bitch with me for a portion of this trip. He's a newbie and just picked up an 88 mini truck SAS for $3k so hoping to really get him hooked.

Andy has a guy that is interested, he Is considering flying to Grand Junction and renting a car. Andy is going to try to get a firm commitment in the form of a deposit. If is in your nephew might catch a ride from Grand Junction with him.

One new issue, was checking the Slickrock campground website and they no longer have the trailer parking lot next to campground. Called and the young lady said that time of year they are not to busy and would give us a break on RV spot to park, however their website says max RV length is 50 ft. So not sure where we can park Steve's and my trailers.

I don't know that mine will be much over 50'. Loose guesstimate I'd call it 55', but I may be way off. I'll check ASAP just to know.

If it weren't for needing it for at least one side trip, maybe more, I'd say we could stack mine atop the 4-car. If they're not real busy, as she indicated, I'll bet it won't be too hard to find accommodations for our fleet.

I'll plan to barge in a few days for this trip ;-)

Steve
Talked to Rob to refresh my memory, there is no way my trailer will make it into the park and pretty sure yours won't either.
We need to find some where to leave the the trailers. If things have not change since 2009 there was a pull off across from the campground to unload.

Woody
You are always welcome.

Roger--been debating on room for everything needed to include camping gear and spare parts and how to get it all out there, think I have a solution but thought I'd run it by you first. Thinking I can remove the tool box from my trailer and strap it down to your trailer under my rig after it's loaded. Any thoughts or issues with that idea?

with that being said a spare parts list for me and Steve (same basic rigs) might be a good idea just so we don't bring 5 of everything. My short list of big things includes 2 spare diffs (4.10 probably since these are already in stock), spare drive shaft, spare axle shafts etc... the rest of it is fairly small parts.

Steve - I know you'll have the rolling workshop and will probably have everything in the world but what do I "need" to bring that you don't already have?

@4xsteve and I are messaging, might have a better option for camping. Need to confirm dates/availability, which I will do when I spend a night there this week.

Grandpa's Garage. Google is your friend.

The trailer is set up to carry cargo below the trucks , so box will work. I'll have a box under there with some spare room. I am planning to bring the 20'x20' canopy for group shelter.

Boys' I'm sitting in Denver looking out at some pretty snow capped mountains in the distance! Looks like a lot of potential in this area for wheeling. Right now our mission is to get my son thru two full days of Testing for the Colorado State Bar Exam. I'm as nervous as him and I'm not even taking the test. Can't wait for the Moab trip, it will be here before we know it!

I live here in Denver and there's sooooo much to do and see!
good luck to your son!
