This project turned out to be a lot more involved than I originally anticipated. When I first decided I wanted a winch and bumper I didn’t think about having to relocate my controls. Since I got the bumper I’ve been fiddling around where to put my control box for my Apex Badlands 12k winch, and there just wasn’t any room for it. I settled and just placed the controls without the box under my hood. After a few runs on the winch something wasn’t right and I found that some of the wiring was crushed up in the engine bay. The only solution to this problem was a low profile control box somewhere under the hood, mostly cause water crossings reach the level of my winch in the bumper. I know there are a couple of boxes out there on the market for sale but I couldn’t swallow the price of them for what they were. So here it is, my version of a low profile control box for the apex badlands winch. Admittedly there are some design flaws but I was in a bit of a rush to get it done before a trip this weekend. After four versions, I settled on this (PETG w/ 50% infill)

Where’d you mount it in your rig?
It sits between the headlight and the airbox, I’ll post photos once I get it mounted again

Not a bad design you wouldn't have that STL file handy would you?
Yeah, sure thing. I can email it to you after I'm finished working today. Once youve printed it I would like to hear your thoughts on it and see the assembly

I did it very similar to this, but just bought an electric box at Home Depot. Same Place, same idea.
Main point for me when printing: thinking about holes to fix it in place in that place. I just wrapped some cushion around it and left in that place.

Nice! You got any photos?

Here you go. Can measure the size of the box tonight
