My second clutch kit from JT's - (still) not the one i purchased.

ok ok - won it on ebay, but specifically bid on the Aisin kit (koyo TO)...about 180 shipped.

first was a Daikin...WRONG! called them - "sure sure, no problem.... we'll send you the aisin asap, with return label..."

Just got home and now I have an Ansco... Dammit!

I hope they are going to be cool, but worst case - which is better? if it's going to take forever becuase they are out...or won't get any more in...

Ansco or Daikin?

Not a huge rush, lots of other projects i can do until i get the $ for clutch job. My brain is shot from 16hr day, please give me your .02 on this.

Thnx guys!

I'd say stay on them and get the real thing. Since you've already sent it back once, call them back and talk to a manager - let him know how disapointed you are, etc. Get the managers name and ask him/her to be personally responsible for getting the next shipment right - ask him/her for their bosses name, too, in case it is wrong.

My local Toyota dealer supplies the Daikin as a replacement, says it meets Toyotas specs and is half the cost..Ive had my Daikin for 18 months and 30k/klm and its ok.
They have a heavier duty version but its not recommended unless you really need it or you want build up your leg muscle.

has anyone used the ansco? anyone else the daikin?

i'll let y'all know how it turns out. second time JT's has been a bit sub par...

thnx again!

You sure you don't mean ASCO rather than ansco?

ASCO is Aisin Seiki Company, and they're the OEM manufacturers for Toyota.

.

that would figure, didn't want to go pull it out of the box to check the spelling. so basically they did send the right one. I was looking for Aisin...

sweet, now i don't have to call and ship it back. thnx jwest

It is possible to pickup OEM clutch stuff (disc, cover and both bearings) for around 190 bucks....... If you know where to look.....

Toyota OEM.
