As many in the club have gone on the Classic Cruize have noticed that there hasn't been anything on this front for a LONG time. In fact Columbus day weekend 2022 was the last one where we did Montana mountain. I vowed to let that mantel pass and give someone else a shot.

Well a lot has happened in those 2 years since. For starters my 40 became my daily driver and 6 months into that I spun a bearing on my original F motor. Through help from the club I was able to get a "new" 2F. And through my own stupidity and not hooking up my distributor correctly spun an other bearing. I now have had the machine shop machine the crank, hone the cylinders and measure for the con-rod bearings and mains. I have just about all of the parts to put it together.

Don't worry I haven't forgotten what this is supposed to be about. When I get her back together I am going to want to take her out and stretch her legs. What a better way to do so then with a Classic Cruize. Classic Cruize 6! As of right now I want to I say that MLK DAY weekend. Standard CC rules 89 and older Toyota 4x4. Including pick-up, 4Runner, 40, 55, 60, 70. I want the return to the Classic Cruize to be be one of the best. I am thinking the trail we did during Classic Cruize 2 or Walnut canyon. Artwork and stickers to come later.

Sounds great. Let’s do it

I can't do it before I get the suspension work done on my 40 - cracks in spring hangers and somesuch   :bang:

but I will be in enthusiastically once I get that squared away :bounce:

Hey I have to get the engine in mine sorted away. And I am already feeling the 😬

we'll do it

interested!

So here is the updated information and possibly change in scheduling. I was wanting to get my 40 done a while ago, put some miles on it and have the classic cruize be the first shake down on the "new" 2F. I am wanting to do walnut canyon again. Same as Classic Cruize 4. I don't know if I will be ready to go by MLK day weekend. I am trying to get the last of my running issues sorted out. As of right now I believe it is a carburetor issue. I might have to move the date Back to Feb. or March.

right now, I am planning on the suspension welding on my 40 for December . . .

I'm in let's do it.

I was wanting to get my 40 done a while ago so I could devote my time and effort to planning the Classic Cruize but I am still having a fuel delivery issue. I don't even know if I will have it done going anytime soon. I am going to have to delay it indefinitely.

JUST FYI IT IS NOT HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND. I STILL HAVEN'T GOT UMA RUNNING.
