Good morning everyone!

Has anyone bought one of these tops from classic cruisers?

If so, how did it fit? I’m looking for a top and was thinking of buying one if I can’t find a decent used one.

Thank you

Wow. $1600 plus shipping is way out of my range. Next year I'm going to put a complete new layer of glass on the inside and outside. My top has a big moon roof hole by a PO that I covered with a steel place. The fiberglass it has collapsed twice due to snow load as in 6-8' of snow/ice so it really needs help.

I believe your only options for new are Classic Cruisers, and then you have to source or already have the steel channel/drip rail to mount it to, or Gozzards in Ontario, Canada makes one piece units with the drip rail integrated (fiberglass). I have one of the Gozzards tops and it is a nice piece. Downside with it is you shouldnt mount a roof rack to the Gozzards drip rail with it being fiberglass. May not be a concern/issue depending on how you intend to use your 40.

I've been in talks with Mike at Gozzards for a few months now. I'm sold on their top but I'm holding off until the tariff situation is settled. He was telling me that if I ordered it now, it could be subject to a 100% tariff. I appreciated the heads up and I'll wait because I really like the product. Same price as Classic Cruisers but one piece with a fiberglass gutter and it doesn't have to be painted.

my oem top was pretty rough, cracks all over, glaze worn off, and a giant hole in the middle from an old CB antenna. i rebuilt my top 3 years ago and went with the classic cruisers option. i got quotes from several boat shops in the area that would refurbish the oem top and the quotes were all way more than the new top from classic cruisers. you do have to trim the edges down a bit, which is clearly stated on the website. i used a small orbital sanders and hit the spots that were too wide. i have the whole experience in my build thread for mustard. youll also need a rivet gun that can install the aluminum aircraft rivets. i got my rivets from ccot. all in all, its a great product from good people in the USA baby.

I am in the process of refurbishing two tops myself. Both need very little glass work and both have had the metal trim removed. I will be ordering the CCOT metal gutter soon.
I even ask myself why I am doing this. I did my own several years ago and turned out great, so I figured I would try and keep these tops going for another 50 years. I have seen several old top in the adds for free, but usually for pickup only.
The $1600.00 plus shipping and needing to add the metal drip edge, dang!!
I need to hurry and get these done.
