I'll be there. What time is everyone meeting up?

How long does the FF application take?

Was hoping to install my diff drop kit before FF application, so I'm not doing the install in early November under an oily truck, but I'm not sure I'll get a chance.

I don't blame you ^^^ I can try and spray around the front diff if you'd like, then just pick up a can aerosol FF for a quick coat of that area when your drop is in.

Application takes about 15-20 mins per truck I'm guessing. I'll be taking trucks all day so if there's a line there could be a wait. Bring a six pack and hang out if needed. No appointments hahaha.

Will be there with my crispy 100. It needs to be saved before this winter. LOL

I'll either get it installed before I come or the kit will sit and I'll get to it in the spring. Honestly once November hits it'll likely be too cold for me to want to work on it in my driveway anyway. Unfortunately soccer and other weekend activities for my kids eat up all my weekends in Sept/Oct and Apr/May.

Or maybe I'll bring two six packs and be able to convince someone to help me install it on the spot before we spray ;-)

You're welcome to use my garage anytime once the weather turns cold. I'm thinking the 28th would be a challenge unless you want to do it in my driveway that day. Regardless, come on out and hang, bring the parts, maybe we can get it done. Who knows?

I’ll bring my air tools, impact sockets, and jack stands if I’m not in Florida!

I should be able to run them on the viair constant duty setup I just bought.

What is the cost to get a 100 series sprayed? Also, is FF useful/worthwhile on vehicles with a fair amount of undercarriage rust on them already?

Thanks

Cool. Reading the instructions, it seems like I just need jack stands and a jack, a socket set, maybe a breaker bar. For me i's just getting the damn free time!

I had the same question, since my 80 has a ton of rust “under the skirt”. Supposedly fluid film will penetrate rust unit it gets to bare metal. At which point you should be able to take off any rust with a simple scraper.

I'm in. Will bring my LX470 for a spray and a six pack to share.
Will be joining early afternoon, same as others, kids activities locked up the morning.

Same question as above about being already rusted. I was planning on applying corroseal first to convert the rust before spraying, but might not have the time. Mine is not severely rusted, but it's noticeable, especially the rear axle and diff housing.

Fluid Film is a good idea regardless of the amount of existing rust you have. It will stop existing rust in its tracks and prevents rust wherever it is applied or creeps to. It also make a rusty underside look real good too, looks like it's been painted almost. If you can make it out on Saturday Ovt 28th I'm spraying for my friends and family rate of $75 cash.

Any chance we can get a roll call for the Oct 28th spray party? I'm getting texts from lots of people and I've been directing them here to follow what's going on. I also want to make sure I have ample supplies to get everyone taken care of.

I've also cross posted to other series LC boards here to try and get a mini-Chicagoland meetup going.

I'll be spraying all day long from 10am - whenever...
Friends and family rate applies all day long, only $75 cash vs the $100 I normally do this for.

I'm 100% confirmed, will be staying in Oak Park for the weekend and will be there first thing Saturday 28th at 10am for the spray.

Would you please shoot me a PM with an address to plug in the GPS please?

Confirmed. My kids have some stuff going on early AM but I'll be there sometime between 12 and 1pm.

@GoISU, can I get an address?

I am new to fluid film, is it really worth it if I wash my car religiously in the winter? I am not sure how I am feeling about putting tar like stuff under my car. Someone please educate me.
