Hey, a real quick one here. Whats a decent price on a used FSM? Thanks.

For what?

'94 FzJ-80

A brand-spanking-new one is $94.95 so don't pay more than that. Sometimes you get a sucker-punch and pay more for a used book than a new one. Depending on condition, I would say not over 75 bucks or so, prolly less.

94 you say...Only used once :D
I will take, lets say, $74.94. Thats a better great deal than you can get anywhere else.
PLUS you get the most common pages marked....with grease from my fingers :princess:
as no added charge. Limit one.

Used as a wheel chock, it appears......

Look on ebay......there's a guy that sells them for just about every year Cruiser. I paid $65 for my '91. Once in a while you'll see a used one for less.

be careful of the ebay guy. i suspect illegal dup printing...I bought one 4 mos ago and the cover has issues already and the print is bad in some areas.

go to the FAQ section, you will find a link to download the manual for 10 bucks. avoid the
:princess: on ebay.

if you need a hardcopy, get with cdan

I bought one for my '94 from that guy on ebay, and it is ok, but when I purchased it, I was not under the impression that I was buying a bootleg, but I am 99% sure they are. Maybe CDan can tell me if Toyota originals would have pages crinkled like a copy machine would do, and some pages printed crooked? If they do, then maybe it is not a boot.

I bought from the guy on ebay an FSM and electrical book. They both look good to me, but I have not seen one from the dealer.

No crickled pages and the paper and ink looks like what I would expect.

The OEM FSM does not have crooked and wrinkled pages when new. Kurt's deal above is not for a new manual but the price is right.

Now that I think about it, my copy from the ebay guy does seem bootleg. Some of the pages are copied crooked, just like the clown selling them! It still has all of the information I need though.

After adding the shipping and handliing charges in, I think you'll find the ones on ebay are not typically a good deal. I waited around a month to try and find a deal on one. Ended up getting one from C-dan at a more than fair price. Live and learn.

The original ones are printed on paper that probably couldn't be 'photocopied' well; thin and kinda 'eggshell' glossy. You'd have to take it to a litho printer for a 'real' copy, and that would cost more than the original book.
