Who: Charlotte area members of ONSC and anyone else that wants to come
What: Monthly "meeting"
When: Sunday, April 29th @ 3pm until ?
Where: Mac's Speed Shop - Steele Creek location 2414 Sandy Porter Rd. Charlotte, NC 28273 Just off I-485 S. Tryon Street Exit
Why: We're due to get together and catch up over good beer and food.

Post up if you can make it and spread the word to guys that don't check the boards often.

Hmmm ... I'll see if I can make it to this one. Need to introduce myself and my mall cruiser anyway ...

Mary and I will be there with the Troopy. Denver and Cheyenne are going to take a weather check and stay in the air conditioned house. We will probably arrive between 3 and 4 depending on my work earlier in the day.

Julie and I will be present with the 80. If I can get the kin to follow I may have Cj 6 (so all can laugh at) as well as grandson in tow. In either case, we look forward to it and we have right location selected this time.

David - thanks for the special reminder and all you have done to date to help us settle in. This is getting to be a really cool place to live.

Mike

Barry at Scott Clark Toyota put me in touch with a guy here in Charlotte who is looking to sell two FJ40s. Brad (lowtops) and I had hoped to preview them last week but our schedules didn't work out. I've invited the seller to bring them to our meeting on Sunday. He said if his son is around, they'll come out and join us. These are not restored FJ40s but rather his two son's vehicles while they were in high school and college. I plan to take pictures and notes for those who might be interested but can't make it out. Oh, and he has a snorkled (and rusty) 60 or 62 he brought down from Michigan that he purchaed from someone on mud. He seemed to think it was someone pretty well known. I think he might be looking to sell this too.

we wont be there....It is Evans birthday party at that same time...

Well crap ... I have been informed that Sunday is spring cleaning at my abode and my presence is required ... maybe next meeting ...

David..... i'll be there around 4.... please call me when you arrive to remind my ass to bring those buckets so you can give them to Jim. ;p

Thanks to everyone that came out today. Who knew it would be so crowded and the staff would be so slow?:o At least it was a pretty day.

Congrats to Quinton and Mary on "buying the farm" not far from the Whitewater Center here in a few weeks. :cheers:I hope we can have a "meeting" there in the fall after they get settled.

Glad newbies Eric and Kirk as well as Rafael's wife Jennifer and daughter Eva could join us.

Speaking of future meetings, let me know if you prefer Saturday or Sunday as I look at the calendar for May.

Finally, here's a better pic of Eric's RHD FJ45. Yes, it really is that good looking in person.
