Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and also to the LC/LX game. I know I am posting in the "Wanted" category, still learning how this all works. Just looking for some help. I do not know pricing at all, my neighbor has an '02 LX 470 which I love so I am looking for similar, he put me onto the ih8mud game. I have found one that is in excellent shape. Here are the details, I am curious if this price is too high? My apologies if this post is in the wrong place or gives everyone notifications, I do not mean to be a hassle on here. Please let me know if so. Thank you all.

-2002 Lexus LX 470
-Mileage 144,935
-Being sold from a small certified dealer
-Price has been set at $16,380
-Exterior and Interior are in excellent shape, looks really sharp
-Mechanically I would think is good, I do not have those details yet
-I've noticed a lot of posts about rust. The under is in good shape, just a little/minimal rust, has been Virginia-owned forever

Im also a newby, so I could be completely wrong but based on your description and the mileage, I would say its probably in the 14-16k range. From what Ive learned mileage is not nearly as important as a rust free body and undercarriage. You could likely find a rig with 200k miles with no rust in the 13k range. It really just depends on what youre looking for and what your end game for the rig is.

One thing i didnt initially know about was the annoyance of the nav/temp controls being intergrated in the headunit, which it appears this rig has. From what I know its very difficult to upgrade/really expense, and I think less desirable....again I could be wrong, as Im also a newby. For me I want the ability to add a headunit set up, and not be limited due to the integration of the nav and temp controls.

That said it looks clean, offer him 14k and see if you can work out a deal. Best of luck on your search.

Awesome, that's really helpful. It's the small things that count! A new system i something I would want, need to figure that out. Thanks for the tips!

Prices are very subjective to condition and maintenance. Make sure you have a good understanding of what's been done to the truck and what items are coming up that will need to be taken care of. Highly recommend a PPI if buying from a dealer.

Hey man. I’m in Charleston as well and have an 02 470 I just decided to sell. Under 165,000 miles. Mechanically great. The vehicle came from Florida and has some sun damage to dash and a few others. Roof rack should be replaced and there are small here and there things. I recently put a lift on it. And planned to add a good bit of weight so it has heavy springs and torsion bars.
