As far as the history of the car, my wife bought it in 2005 from one of her dad’s customers who is the only owner before us. So we’ve had it for 20 years. I don’t have any of the service records handy, but we’ve definitely Kept up with all the usual things like oil changes, timing belt, regular maintenance, etc.. The brakes should be good to go, I felt like I replaced those pretty recently. The timing belt I know I have replaced within the last five years, and I’ve only driven about 3000 miles a year on this vehicle. The car is driving, great, but here’s all the things cosmetically and mechanically that need to be addressed.
- power windows and locks need to be fixed. But power side mirrors work fine. The locks work from time to time but don’t know if it’s just a short or fuse or what.
- Sunroof does not work.
- because the sunroof doesn’t work, the drains are probably clogged and was causing small leak during heavy rains. I have sealed the outside of the sunroof with silicone to reduce the leaks.
- new brackets needed for passenger side step. I still have the step which is in fine shape, just need new brackets to re mount.
- Tired eventually need to be replaced.
- Front two seats need to be re-cushioned and reupholstered. Back seats are all good.
- The carpet probably needs to be steam cleaned or replaced
- There is a whistling noise at around 35-45mph +, and I don’t know if that’s from the weatherstripping or the windshield, I haven’t been able to figure that one out yet.
- exterior has scratches and normal paint fading from the sun. A few small dings and dents present.
