Hi guys,
Slow reply but the truck was in the shop longer than planned for some other issues as well.
They replaced the alternator and the wiring connection to it. Both were going bad. So far all is good in that area!
In interesting news I blew a fuse to my dash gauge panel coming back from a wheeling trip. That's never happened before but it got me looking at the rest. I can only assume that the new alternator was now pushing enough power to blow a weak fuse. My 30,40,50, and 60 amp fuse all show signs of corrosion in the viewing window. I'm going to be going through and replacing them all. I haven't even touched them in the 4 years I've had the truck and never really thought about it, but the corrosion is super visible. Just food for thought for anyone looking into electrical problems.
I'm curious to see if this helps my sluggish windows when I replace them.
Thanks for the help!
