Hey Guys,

I'm replacing my alternator and ready to start putting things back together. I found this bushing sitting on my frame, and can't figure out where it came from. It fits the bolts with the 12mm head. I've removed the various brackets for the transmission cooler lines and wiring harnesses to be able to remove the alternator from the bottom without removing the fan shroud. Do any of you recognize this, or is it possible that it's been hanging out from previous work? I've owned this one for about a year and put about 7k miles on it.

Here's a random tip that ended up working for me........I removed the pulley on the old one and the new one in order to make it through the gap.

Thanks!

Brent

Thanks for posting this........It definitely gave me some ideas on things to look at, but I couldn't locate the home for it. I buttoned it back up and things seem to be ok so far.
