Hey all!

2010 Lx570, 186k kilometers on the clock (115k ish miles).

Battery light decided to come on today and voltage gauge in the dash reads low.

I unfortunately don't have access to my multimeter since I lent it to my dad. But I'm convinced there is no charge since my DCDC charger won't kick in as it's not sensing high enough voltage.

Also, when pulling the negative terminal the truck stalls.

My obvious guess is a faulty alternator but I'd like to know if there are other things that I should check or diagnose? Are there other culprits that could cause the alternator not to charge?

If it's the alternator for sure I'll order one.

Thanks!

Dunno about Canada, but in the US- Autozone will test the alternator (and battery) for you.
