And then there is that dreaded body cancer......

Chassis appears to have been extended, or is the original to Aussie traybacks.....

will need to find or fabricate a spare tyre cradle...

got my work cut out for me removing the welded on angle from the original bumper.....

Interested to know what that On/Off Switch is for ?

As far as I know, the Solid Rims were standard and available in 15 or 16" sizing.

Yet to trace the swich, will let you know when/if I find out. Bloody cold here in Parkes at the moment as it is snowing in Orange.

So are the splittys later?

A happy snap from picking her up....

Your truck should have been fitted with 16" one piece rims w/hub cap clips, not 15" one piece and not 16" splits. Your taillight lenses are stock and very rare 'two colour' ones. The indicator assy. is missing the correct pot metal stalk, and potentially the switch box down under the dash with 6 green wires coming from it. You can buy new from SOR. This is also where you can buy decals. The seat is stock to 1965-1967 [I believe], as is the accel. pedal. The chassis is the standard extension sanctioned by Toyota once your truck landed in Aus.

Oh and your earth strap and radiator hard pipe are stock. Come to think of it I know a bloke with a set of taillight lenses. And I know a bloke with the correct rims for your truck too. Both in Brisbane.

Try terrain tamer for new lights and lenses they rebuilt an fj45lv and made the replacement lights and now reproduce them

G'day mate nice fj45. that one piece rim has 16" on the tyre sidewall, 15" rims here are pretty rare here and from what I've seen Australia didn't get hubcap clips on 15" single piece rims on early 40/45's only once the 16"s came out

Yep, had a closer look today and has 4 x 16" solids and the 16" split rim. Went for a drive around town today looking for a large plastic tub to use as a molasses bath and spotto'd another early cruiser.... Not much rust, pretty much all there and has removeable top... Went to chat to the owner and it is for sale but more than I wanted to spend at $3500.

Wow, how cool is this. I was cleaning out the glovebox of the 1964 FJ45..... had the usual shotgun shells, old points, .22 shells, lamb tailing rings etc etc.... but I also found one ten cent piece, one two cent piece and two one cent pieces... what was interesting is that they were all dated 1966....
So guys, what is significant about them all being dated 1966???

Removed the rotted wood flooring from the tray yesterday which gave me better access to clean out the chassis. Hosed a lot of red dirt and river pebbles out. I will re do the tray in the original style t&g flooring and timber side gates.
