Is the center Diff lock switch(on the dash) from a 91 going to be the same/work in a 94 for the diff lock switch, 7 pin mod .
Thanks

Are you asking if the switch from a 91 will fit a 94, or are you asking if the pin7 mod will work in a 91 or 94?

Sorry I was asking if the switches were interchangable, I thought I had access to a doner rig.
I would delete this one if I new how.

I think the swith from a 91 will work on all the non air bag models...so 91-94 should all be interchangeable.

91-94 are the same, rounded top, switch. 95-97 is the flat, rectangular, switch.

Q:

What was the fix for the "7th round stoppage" in early production M1 rifles?

weld the receiver?

On the right track there.............Where?

The forward vertical guide rail on the LH forward receiver leg had the top nipped off by the tooling that threaded the receiver to accept the barrel. This did not happen to the 80, hand assembled, "model shop" rifles. The early production tooling was the culprit. The resultant "nip" caused the 7th round (of a clip with the top round loaded on the RH side only) to jamb. Clips loaded with the top round on the left did not have a problem. By re welding and grinding the rail the problem was solved.

Actually you did quite well for such an obscure question.
