Hello all!
My 97 lx450 is great but one of the probs is the wheels look terrible and the center caps in the front 2 wheels keep falling out! Is there a solution to this? Beyond the fix, what would be the best way to get some same deminision wheels that are ONE piece that aare not expensive? I don't need flashy, I just want it not to look like a Beeter....

Many of us don't use the center caps, but the steel clips on the inside of the caps that hold them in place can get lost, don't know if they're available separately, wait for CDan or Beno to chime in.

Mine look just like this.

I bought a set from ebay as well, they look fine & stick in the wheels. Worth the $50 or so dollars.

was a sealent used on these? to adhere them to the rim? just curious i just got my 80 like 3 weeks ago and it sits in the garage as i dont have time to fuel it

I would make sure your balance of you tires are correct and also make sure you do not have play in your bearings. Once you know that is correct, put a little loc-tite on the connect points. You wont have that problem again.

The center cap fight will never end for you, but they are cheap to replace. Mine were uniquely challenging due to the chrome not being factory. Ultimately I realized that the full floater hubs are really cool and deserve to be shown. You could paint them with high temp black and call it a day.

Many of the big trucks running on semi floaters actually have center caps that simulate full floaters. Most 80 series owners don't need to bother with such dressings... ;)
