i carry a spare when i can get it to fit in the truck the problem is how do you carry a 39.5" or a 40" tire there just so big, there hard to make them fit on a truck or in a truck??

Yes after a year of bad tires i had in 05! I had a ranger that I wrapped one tire round a big rock and blew out another...how I have no idea I wasn't even driving over anything special and then *PFFFFF*...the first time i didn't have a spare, the second time i did and never leave for the trail without one
 
I always carry CO2, tools, and starter fluid ;) .

There is alwyas at least one spare on the trail in the group of us.

Mines on the trailer if Im 10 min away, its on the truck if Im more than that.

Im not a weight junky though. The reason I bought a 4runner is so That I could take three riders with me :D .

I got to help swap out a 44" bogger with a hole in the sidewall. That REALLY motovated me to have a spare with my IROCs.
