Picked up the Ace bronze bushings, seems like it may be a challenge getting them in the upper hinge piece and the pins thru them. But have not cleaned them up yet-when rust is gone it may be a different story

16mm ID X 20mm OD X 16mm long. The hole on the upper hinge is not completely round; would probably have to mod these bushings or maybe after blast and or chemical rust removal they will "open up a bit". Will get some pics on here later.....

Good to hear; will get pics up later Doug...............

Tried to clean up the pin and two of the wahsers using my brothers Lyman ultrasonic with some distilled water in it; did nothing, what am I doing wrong? Never used one of these before.............:bang:

No, I've never used vinegar in it yet. I'm only suggesting that it would seem to be a good way to go. As I mentioned, I bought it to clean my Harley's carb idle circuits. I had to reposition the carb a number of times, as it was too large for the relatively shallow tub. I currently use it to clean my glasses, watches, and other small items. For these purposes, I add a few drops of Dawn per batch and watch the grime flow out!
So what would you reccomend I use in it? Distilled water did nothing..............

For small stuff like this I always just drop it off at a powder coater and have them blast it for me, usually really reasonable. If you feel like throwing in the towel like I typically do with tedious work :meh:

Yes I get that and I believe I have a meeting with the blaster dude....................

Down here in Scottsdale for car week-the fortys at RM are really dissapointing this year; however a Red '77 at Gooding and Company is really sweet!!!
