I have a LX600 and want to utilize a Pelican cargo case specifically the BX140R or possibly another brand cargo box.
What’s the best way to secure to the factory roof rails without having to install an aftermarket rack.
Will the straps from the cargo box manufacturers suffice and hold them down?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

you'll have to custom fab some attachments. I'd mount the pelicans to the factor racks by using 8 metal plates, 16 bolts, and rubber washers and some silicone sealant to fabricate 4 mounts (one at each corner of the pelican).

If the factory rack is 3 inches, take a 5-6 inch plate, drill at 4 inches apart on the ends of two plates, and make a sandwich mount that bolts around the factory rack and through the pelican.
