Wondering if people can help me figure out what this thing is? When I changed carbs it is bent the wrong way to fit to the fuel line.... anyone know what the circled part is called so I can find a replacement?

or maybe i should just bend it the other way?

thoughts?

by the way.... i am trying to post the pic.... but can't for some reason....

SEND ME A PIC, check your PM for my email address that can take the pic.

I have a collection of I6 parts and numerous carbs, i should be able to help.

Sent a pic to Hi^C... i am hoping he can help with the posting....

OK first off you pics were HUGE, one was 1.16MB the other 891KB, these are really high quality pics, I think pic limit here is 90KB?

try turning the camera settings down to its lowest quaility to see if you can be under the posted limit on size of pic. OR if you have a picture edit program of some sort that allows you to shrink the size of the pics to allow you to post.

OR just ask someone to see if they can help shrink your pics. I will shrink yours and allow you to post your pics, check your email in a few mins.

IN your circled area there are several individual pieces threaded together. the fuel steel line is bendable, if its hard or breaks you can just replace that piece and the local parts store, CHEAP maybe $3.00 varies depending on length. The line is just a common flared fitting end that is screwed into the carb. THE next piece that the line screws into, IS a huge pain in the ass if you have to replace it, but since you have a spare its the really only way to repair. Then that piece is threaded into the carb body itself do not F that up, LOL>

IF the other carb was the same, you should be able just switch those pieces back and forth to get this one to work again. I reccommend brake fitting wrenches to help prevent stripping the nuts as they look little crusty on the carb in the pic.

Hi^C,

first off thanks.... on all counts... i will repost smaller....

and also thanks for the commentary on the fuel line....

Pics are coming!!!!

Pardon my ignorance.....but,

how does the flared line connect to the pitece that screws into the carb..... it appears that there are 3 parts....

1. the line
2. The piece the line screws into (call this part A)
3. The piece that has the line/partA combo screwing into it on one side, and screws into the carb itself on the other....

is this right? or do the line and "part A" come prefabbed?

LOL, was just going to post them, as your email is not available through this forum.

mid 70'S motor?

those carbs are pretty easy to play with, and came with all kinds of options.

Roger that....... thanks for the advice... i am sure i will have more questions tomorrow as i try and rehook everything up....

Hi^C do you have an inventory of parts? for sale possibly?
