So why is it that, for example, 2Fs from the Middle East don't have a carb heat shield, no carb fan, no fuel-return and apparently, I'm assuming, do not have problems restarting after a hot drive?
I have a de-smogged '78 FJ40 w/stock exhaust manifold and I need the carb fan to help restart after a drive. I keep thinking that maybe the carb heat shield is actually trapping hot air underneath the carb longer than it needs to. I would think a de-smogged US 2F would be like a non-USA 2F.
Could someone please explain to me what is going on?
Thanks in advance.
