Can anyone recommend a car cover for the 80 series cruiser?

Often times my cruiser has to be parked outside for days at a time. Just want to protect the vehicle from Arizona's heat and sun rays.

I was just recently at my local stealership and saw some really nice ones they were selling. Custom fit for the rig and felt lined for $189 and they lock. My ris isnt nice enough to warrant one, but the covers were sweet!

Thanks BM.

Cdan,

Do you know anything about these covers?

Hey Lars

Not sure if it was a OEM cover (probably not) my local dealer stocks a lot of accessories that arent OEM. Either way, they were nice and if i didnt plan on a roof rack, i would buy one!

How does one wash one of these huge covers? Mine is made of some type of high quality foam type material but when folded, ends up too big to fit into my washer. Perhaps a laundromat's oversized washing machine is the answer?

i've always been a fan of oem covers but i (in my limited experience) have never seen an oem car cover for the 80... when i get back to my quarters from work i'll attach a link i have of an affordable cover i've been looking at

I bought one from summit racing. Very nice and fits the 80 very well!

Will it fit with the ARB bumper?

Thanks

I got one from here: http://www.calcarcover.com/default.aspx

They allow you to custom order it-so I got the back a foot longer because of my rear tire carrier. THe front is also slightly longer because of the ARB winch bar. The fabric I specified (you can choose) was "Stormweave" which for over 2 years now has done the job well. I got it not so much for the paint, but to protect the interior from the summer sun. Since they custom make each one it takes about 2 weeks to get.

Mine has an ARB front winch bumper and Slee rear with 35" spare. I do have to pull the CB antenna. The covers also have the mirror pockets which look like it was made just for the 80! Right now it's on my FJ-62 and fits it OK (fits the 80 better!)

Awesome!

Just what i wanted to hear! Thats an awesome deal for only $99

Any chance of a pic?

Could take one of it on the 62 if ya want....kinda baggy on it.

Nah, if it ever ends up on the 80 again, that would be cool for a pic!

Although, i will probably own one by then! LOL

I got a thule surf rack too! I could probably cut the bars down if needed.

I am also just using this to protect the interior mostly, but to also keep dust off of the rig, because i dont drive it often!

I reread my post and I have misled you! I don't cover the spare tire. I think it would stretch but I think the high lift jack would wear it out pretty quick. Sorry! I was typing faster than I was thinking.
