I have an extra set of OME heavy springs (front and rear) sitting in my garage for an 80 series LC. I'm wondering if they are the same ones ill need when I pull out the AHC . any one know?

Yeah, they are probably 863s. I run those in the rear of my LX. Before that they were under my 80.

What performance can I expect with these in the 2002 LX 470. Soft ride or firm? I'm keeping the vehicle stock. No bumpers or winch etc

the heavies like extra weight from steel bumpers, drawers, fridge, tent ect ect. Without the weight it would be pretty firm ride.

You may want to get medium springs which are 220# rated springs for stock bumpers and lighter loads. I have a set of the med 860s waiting to go in once my diff drop kit comes in.

I run 863's with loaded drawers, bumper (with cooler, spare, and rotopax)... 863's on an unloaded rig might make the rear end stick up pretty high. Maybe you could trade for some 860's?

Yeah, I would suggest checking and posting in the classifieds and local clubs. I bet you can find someone willing to trade.

863s are pretty much a 4” spring unloaded.
