Well you know my thoughts on lift.....keep it low as you can. Get it set up and get tires and then you can make the judgement before you start dicking with caster and alignment plates.

My 80 had OME Heavy fronts (shorter than J's by 1") and 866 rears. Sat level.

Those are my thoughts too, for the most part. I'd like a little more height than before.

The reason 35's might fit now is because that shackle isn't pushing the tire into the front fender when flexing.

I will be doing the caster plates. There's just no way it doesn't need it. But getting it running, driving, and set up will happen first.

Are those 866's medium rears? Since springs are so easy to swap, I thought I could run medium for DD duty, and then swap these 863's in for trips, if mediums leveled it out (maybe with a spacer).

Alex said the mediums were a little soft fully loaded.

866's give you the lift of a "Medium" but they are variable rate that give you the load capacity of an 863....also, FYI, the Slee Heavy is the same loaded spring rate as the 866 and the 863 but it is right in the middle of them on height.

Brake master cylinders & boosters... what do I need?

I've got the master cylinder & the booster from the '93. Do I need both or just the MC? Or will I need the '95-'97 MC to run the rear discs?

You want the 93 master for rear disc application. There is a brief period between rear drums and ABS that had the master you want. The booster is fine either way.

Great work cam!! Looking good. I am really enjoying keeping up with this. Ruffstuff?...yes you can post in the hardcore section.....Cottonland should have bought stock in Ruffstuff!

Mine is naked now prepped for a repaint job so it's sitting like a treehouse. I don't think you want me to measure now do you? I can get those measurements if you want a fully unweighted slee 4 inch lift measurement?

I'll get measurements today, I promise. Maybe, depending on how cold and dark it is when I get home!

Yea, the pup is mine the 45 is jfz80's truck. It's nice.

Let me know if you want measurements this evening?

If I can get the rear to match the front, I think it'll be a good height.

It does look huge in the front, but if you step back, it looks tight. Perfect for the 80 width.

(Pic is deceiving, it is not as level as it looks)

Measurements would be good, just for my curiosity more than anything.

Height does look good.

What tires are you getting?

You should talk Tolleson out of the 315s on Bessie. We gotta get him some ATs for over landing

This would be a good time to remind our preferred vendors of this wonderful opportunity for product placement, name dropping, competitor trash talking, hidden advertising, blatant advertising, sig line links. Please contact for rates and availability.
