I have one of those buried somewhere in the garage...While taking care of some honey-does at the casa today, look what I found!
I will let you know by tomorrow if I make it on Friday... If I do that would be the time I could get out there.Between 3-4pm
For a ‘67, with the 8mm bolts? Not sure I will be making the run. Lost my front driveshaft somewhere on the 91 freeway while towing the 40 to AZ this past weekend. (Had to do the Broken Arrow Trail in Sedona in 2 wheell drive. )
Anybody have a front driveshaft they don't need???
And the Tacomo's rear U-joint starting making a lot of noise on the way back from AZ. I feel a trend coming on!!!
I would think so. Does it help to count the remaining female splines to be sure? For a ‘67, with the 8mm bolts?
Not really. Just need to know the bolt size and flange to flange. I can check stock in the morning, but if it’s OE, I probably have a dozen.I would think so. Does it help to count the remaining female splines to be sure?
I just checked the flange and it is an 8mm bolt size. Flange to the splines is 23.5"Not really. Just need to know the bolt size and flange to flange. I can check stock in the morning, but if it’s OE, I probably have a dozen.
I hear you! I taught a bunch of Jeep owners what a Land Cruiser could do in 2 wheel drive this past weekend!!!Just run it Jerry!!! Last year I only had 1 wheel drive. You’ll be fine!!!
Mark, I remeasued flange to flange at about 31" The short end of the driveline with the internal splines are at the transfer case end. Would it be best to drive up to your shop with the 40?View attachment 4072489
One on the left is an early front. 27” flange to flange with 1” of slipyoke showing.
If your flanges are that far different, I would venture a guess that you have a 4 speed transmission conversion. Definitely not stock. And definitely not a shaft that I have in stock.Mark, I remeasued flange to flange at about 31" The short end of the driveline with the internal splines are at the transfer case end. Yes, that is correct. I do have a 4 speed transmission conversion. Suggestions? FJ-60 front driveshaft? Or get it built at OC Drive line near me?If your flanges are that far different, I would venture a guess that you have a 4 speed transmission conversion. Definitely not stock. My flanges use 8mm bolts. Send me a DM or email . I could come by tonight or tomorrow.Jerry, I had this driveshaft retubed to use in Sully, ended not using, probably will use it in Morty. It is out an fj60, what pinion flanges do you have? I can bring it if you want to give it a shot. I dont have the bolts though.
