What a coincidence that it's at the first exit in SC which also has Frugal MacDoogal's (huge beer, wine & liquor store) and fireworks. Adding guns and ammo make it a welcoming exit for our NC neighbors and the perfect place to shop for all you party needs.

So is it being built next to Plaza Fiesta or will it replace PF? There was something in the Obsurder last month about a new management company or something taking PF over. I'm looking forward to it either way. I used to mail order from them a lot when I was a kid - them and Bass Pro Shops - back in the 80's.

EDIT: I just read that Plaza Fiesta is getting torn down to build Cabelas.

There is one slated to open Spring 2014 in Greenville SC as well. I will be about 45 minutes from either. We go to the Charlotte airport enough to make it a regular stop on the way home.

I have some Cabela's camping gear that has held up well through the years. This will not do my buget well................

Hey David, nice meeting you at the barn :)

Huh, wonder if this makes the big city of Charlotte and little town of Garner equal since Garner's store is the first NC store... http://www.cabelas.com/custserv/custserv.jsp?pageName=Garner
The store will be in SC by Carowinds, the theme park that straddles the state line. Fort Mill is to Charlotte what Garner is to Raleigh

Plaza Fiesta never lived up to its potential. When my kids were smaller they loved the "human habitrail" they had in the middle. I shelled out for two birthday parties held there. The worst part for me is that this is where I catch the bus into Charlotte. I'll be really disappointed if they cannot find a way to relocate nearby.
