I am going to replace the three cab parts on my HJ75(roof, back window frame and front windshield frame). The only dealer I can find in the US is cruiserparts. They have two of the parts in stock with a 3-4 week wait for the final piece. I have read where 3-4 week waiting times have stretched into 6 months or more. I understand bringing parts in from overseas can be dicey for the dealers and they are at the mercy of the supplier, so with that in mind, does anyone know of another dealer (In the US) where I could source the third part??
Thanks

75 parts

Yes, and my understanding is no luck with these parts.

Oh Well....
I know it does not meet your criteria of "U.S. sources" however perhaps some of the "Oz" boys can help you locate the needed parts.:)

You specified a source in the US, but ... Dave Stedman at Japan4x4 has been able to get me numerous parts that other sources could only dream of getting.

Good luck.

I have a complete TLC cabin with doors and glass and the truck bed. I will see what price I can sell it off from our accountants - but the item is here in the UAE.

Because its just metal there would be no issues to ship it to the USA and you could have a 2011 TLC 79 pickup

Locating them is easy, working out the freight is a killer. Unless its small and light, its usually too expensive unless you have a container.

parts

I have talked to all those overseas folks above and the parts are available but as someone said, the shipping is the killer, more than the parts! That was the reason of trying to rule out a US source. I will call ENS again, last time I had no luck. Thanks for all the help and advice guys!

I talked with the accountants from head office and they informed me I can sell the cab and bed (with the windshield, back glass, doors w/ glass and door panels, headliner) all for 18,000 AED. ($4900) however I think the set i have right now is already sold - but I do have another 10 units next month if people are serious about it.

Any ideas on how much just a can get just a cab glass and headliner for?

Truth is - we are in the armoring business and not the spare parts - they have me sell everything as a whole and not divide it up otherwise I would end up with a ton of parts I cant get rid of.

I will ask however for you if they would consider dividing it up.

Yeah just out of curiosity
It's probably easier and cheaper to get a similar set up here in north America

pass

I'm going to pass on the "new" 79 body, I've gotten fond of my "old" 75 series style and want to stay with that design. Currently sorting out the details for fiberglass replacement parts and shipping from Oz.
Thanks for the reply and options!

I am wanting the 79 cab. I hate the new fender and front end look. I would graft the old fenders and such onto the new cab....

Fiberglass would be cool. I imagine your planning on going the FRP au route.
