Have a 1982 FJ45 Right Hand Drive that I need to replace the four worn upper and lower rubber orignal cab mounts.
I was just going to shim them and still might but was curious if there are any Polly style replacement instead of the rubber ones.
A little harsher ride but would hold up better when off road.
Rubber ones would work also.
Any guidance were to find either type.

Cheers

I know several people have used the Daystar FJ-40 kits. If memory serves me correctly you have to buy 2 of the kits to have enough pieces for the bed on the 45.

There’s also this company that sells a 45 kit (I don’t know the differences between your year/model and what they are selling):

I am now going to be looking into the SOR set also I wanted to get hole of City Racer and see what they have to offer. I will post what we decided and if they work out. Big thanks for your information.

I'll be chatting with SOR as well, and will report back as I found Kirt or Kirk to be very helpful and knowledgeable when I purchased some LV goodies. He seemed to have some unique combinations that work for the LV's and 45 trucks.

I didn’t include City Racer because they didn’t have an offering on their website for your year truck.
This it all they offer for the 40 series:

Why don't you just get new ones from Toyota?

They were readily available to buy a few months ago when I bought a bunch.

Great idea! I wasn’t aware they’re still available from Toyota?!?!? But I shouldn’t be surprised… Especially since there’s an 25% off sale from virtually all US dealers right now.

Unfortunately for some of us Toyota doesn’t still support our 45 model year with canvas bushings. I for one don’t have the patience that @ClemsonCruiser has to painstakingly glue canvas together to replicate OEM.

As you well know poly bushing have several major advantages over the rubber bushings.

The OP has an '82 RHD FJ45 which uses the bushes I posted, not the earlier style you seem to allude to. FYI, one size of them is also still available from Toyota.

I know well poly's advantages over natural rubber but then again, if you go for poly where do you draw the line when going supposedly original? EFI, dual circuit brake master, discs, engine swap? Ultimately, the OEM rubber cab mounts lasted for 40-50 years under hard use. I for one am happy with such duty cycles over cracking cab mounts
