Lc 100 2006 / lx 470

I decided to replace my nice LX450, so, I am looking a LX470 2006 or 2007, but, I crossed with this LC 100, that is incredibly well preserved, and it made me think about LC or LX. I love the LC front and grill.

If some body is interested, the owner is a nice guy and he got it from Virgina, so, free of salt exposure!

Thanks for the clarifications, I don't know if come in from the north or south.

I'm thinking of backing up on getting a 100k mile rig for the 12-16k range and maybe go for a 180k rig for 7-8k. I'm conversing with someone that has such a 100 and they are the second owner for the last 7 years. all highway miles from Oregon to LA. they did the belt at 95k or so and I think it's due again, with that said.

It does not have a tow setup, i'm looking to replace my fj60 i tow a single axle trailer for small things around my place. I only put about 1k a year on my 60. Is the tow package bolt on? thinking i could find one in the parting section or buy a drawtite i guess.

what's the thoughts.

Looking at a LX470. 2000. Fully loaded. 169,000 miles. 2nd owners, who have had it since 2005 @140,000.

White with beige, and VERY clean. Maintenance records.

Set at $12,000.

Any tips?

Still on the hunt for a 100-series, thought I'd share a frustrating experience from today. Over lunch, I went to check out an '03 w/ 115k miles the dealer had just marked down to $20.8k. When I got down there, they told me they sold it a couple days earlier. Just now, I find the same LC at a different Toyota dealer 50 miles away (but part of the same network) and they had raised the price to $24.9k! I called this dealer and asked if they'd honor the old price but no-go.

I'm contemplating an LX470 now - they're much more plentiful but I really don't want all the bells and whistles.

Same thing happened to me on an '06 last February. Truck was $31k at Dealer A - BMW of Chattanooga. I offered $30k and they didn't take it. A week later, I offered like $30,500 and they agreed, but I wanted to look it over before buying and wasn't going to put a deposit on it. Next day they "sold it". Oh well, just my luck.

Well, it shows up three days later on the lot at Toyota of Cleveland (TN) - about 30-miles away. Price tag? $36,500. $1000 OVER retail. I called BMW back and raised hell. They sold it to the Toyota Dealer at full asking price of $31k, which beat out my offer. I call Toyota up, tell them I know how much they paid for it and would offer $31,500. No dice. Would not haggle one penny. Said they priced their cars according to "market" and did not haggle.

That truck sat on their lot for MONTHS. They eventually had to drop the price all the way down to $32K and finally sold it. By then, I bought a 2007 with 25k less miles at a MUCH better deal.

LX 470 & LC market prices

Finally, I got my LX470 after 4 months hunting it, after all this time, I realized that market still controlling the price of this cars, and the prices not care about the depreciation or Kelly book or Edmonds.com, also I noticed that the dealer are don't negotiate prices on these cars (Land cruiser and LX), because they are selling and shipping the LC & LX over sea, and those buyer over sea pay any money that the dealer ask, so, the dealer don't care about the local buyer. This is sad.

I found the same to be true for me, also noticed that KBB and Edmonds were not the best valuation guides. I ended up using NADA as a better guide and once I found a clean white LX free from major mechanical issues that was under NADA I jumped on it.

@jdlsantos: What did you end up getting by the way?

Thanks for ask.
I got a LX470 2006, with 58500 miles on it, it is from Dallas. 36k$, one minor details on the body and one on the drive seat, and yes at the end the most important are the mechanical issues.

getting closer

Well i put a deposit down on a 2001 that's in Co. I went through ebay buy it now, after talking to the owner for some time. A middle aged couple (no smokers or children) are the second owners since 2004 and the rig has 130k on it and had the TB done at 100k. The Lc has always been garaged and oil changed every 3k. The drivers side exhaust was done but he told me the passenger side is making a slight noise when cold but quicky goes away, so i'll need to tackle that. All else is in order. No Nav. Got it for a bit under 13k.

This is a pict, I plan to fly out within 10 days to pick it up. its gonna be a 1200 mile trip back! here's a couple picts

Yes depending on the weather i might be taking a southern route, down through new mexico and over and up calif

Mine is a year newer w/ 200K less miles, and is worth about 12.5k not counting aftermarket stuff.

I'd say the opening bid is just about right...meh. He'd be lucky to get 6k for it IMO. You're diving into alot of potential maintenance items at that mileage unless it's been impeccably well maintained. Even our illustrious cruisers have wear limits.

Looks like a clean snag, Rob. Nice! Where in CO is it? Are you flying into DIA? Lots of us here in the Denver metro area, if it's nearby let me know if you want someone to go with you to check it out.
