What do you guys think of a 02 w/160k for $16k nav+ no tow pkg?
$3-4k too much. I won't hesitate to buy one with 160k, but that's a lot of money for one with that many miles.

What do you guys think of a 02 w/160k for $16k nav+ no tow pkg?
Located in Winston-Salem, NC
Just a normal 100 series cruiser but they are asking 15,999. Just from quick glances I see normale wear and tear from opening and shutting doors from scratches there, one nick in the paint on drivers door, a leather repair in the middle of the front seat.
What should I counter with? They do not know if the timing belt has been replaced yet.
Thanks
Spence Wilcox
Have they given you a number or are they asking you to make an offer?
Just bought this LC 2000 with 164K miles, Timing and Water Pump have been replaced at 126k , and O2 sensor replaced at 164K for $9K even. Is this reasonable price for the mileage??
Hey 'mudders, I'm looking at a 2006 LC with 91k at a local Honda dealer, one owner listed for $28,900. It looks to be everything I've been searching for, color, condition, miles, etc.
The only thing is, it seems to have this problem going on: https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/350225-vibration-while-stopped-light-gear.html
I'm mechanically inclined (used to be a mechanic), so I can fix the issue myself, and use it as a way to drive the price down, but there are a couple of things that concern me: 1. They've had the truck about a month at this point, and roughly 2 weeks ago, they dropped the price $3k, down from $31,900, which was the same time a PPI was done at the Toyota dealer up the street. 2. The sales person told me (after test driving it again today, and me noticing the vibration) "Two other potential buyers spent the $200 to have PPIs done, and everything checked out, but they both didn't buy based on price."
This all sounds a bit fishy to me, but it may just be related to the vibration, and the truck could otherwise be perfectly fine (salesperson gave me a copy of dealer service records, and nothing freaked me out). I guess I could just have my own PPI done, but if two other people had them done, it seems like a waste, and maybe I should just move on and keep looking.
Opinions?
Thinkin' about trading in my '08 Tundra for a '01 LC. 122k mi. They're asking $ 14,999. Interior and exterior look great. Have not seen it in person yet. Am I crazy for entertaining this idea?

Seller is asking $15K - 2001 LX 470 with 130k miles, No Nav, has ML stereo and tow package. NADA for this model and mileage unit is $19,200 so it's under the NADA value. It's a Carfax certified one owner, for whatever that means, I guess the original owner traded it in and it's been passed around from dealer to wholesaler which is where I found it.
I did my test drive and the engine pulled nice and strong, no strange sounds from the drive system, AHC works fine, I can't tell if the suspension settings for comfort/sport work, I don't notice a difference. There are cosmetic issues, but I don't think those are a big deal. I'm having the seller drop it off at a local Toyota dealer for an inspection tomorrow to confirm the vehicle's mechanical condition.
Needs to be cleaned in a major way. There was water in the driver's floorboards which the seller says the window may have been let down, Is there any good way to test the weather stripping other than taking a waterhose to it?
Might end up having to replace the leather, I know there is a vendor on here that will replace, not sure I want to incur that expense right now, for the time being they are serviceable.
The carpets are pretty nasty too, has anyone replaced their carpets before?
The antenna is broken, the ML subwoofer is blown, maybe some of the other speakers are blown.
Very little rust under the rig, no broken seals around the CV boots, shocks appear to be functioning fine.
seems considering condition. I got my 2000 w/ 80k miles worn leather but perfect interior and almost perfect interior for $14500. It has some rust underneath but I was told it didn't from the seller and the dealer that inspected it for me. Bring a flashlight to check for rust underneath.
00N8 said:Amazing what a detail can do, it cleaned up nicely, I went ahead and bought it for $14800, working on some of the details bit by bit, most of it I can fix for cheap.
I found the antenna fix thread and the subwoofer fix thread. I am investing in good interior and exterior lighting and brakes. I don't want to risk not changing all the fluids so I'm going to have that done. The front passenger side CV boot is leaking a little grease so I'm getting pfran's clamps and will squirt a little extra grease under it before sealing it up.
I do hear a little rattle when I'm braked at a stoplight in gear, almost like an exhaust rattle.
