Just picked up my first cruiser. She's an '01 with 137k. Got for a song at $11,250. So far so good. Goes in for a 120k service this week. Already took her out on a mountain excursion, and it wasn't long before I realized that I definitely made the right decision. Thanks to this forum for lots of help in making the choice!

Looking into this one. Black 1999. just over 100K miles, Timing Belt down at 92K along with Water Pump. Needs nothing, has 2010 Tundra Wheels and new Mich tires with 6K miles. All options including Rear diff Lock, and Rear Air.

He's asking $15k-obo.

Thoughts/comments appreciated.

1999 LC

Here is the link to 99 LC which I asked about earlier. I have spoken to the owner and he said he needs something cheaper on gas. It is in Cookeville, TN 99 Land Cruiser

Noob - first post - looking at 2002 w/ 110k

Noob here. Looking for a dependable ski/trail/beach rig for family of 4, dog and occasional friends. No intention to do anything more than light offroading. Would not be a daily driver. The heart wants the 100 but the head knows it has more capability than I need....but at a certain price, why the heck not?

Here's where I am:

Private sale
2002 w/ 110k
One owner
All records, service performed religiously at dealer
90k done
$15,500
It's a NE car; some surface rust on undercarriage, but doesn't look serious

Buy it?

Best post of the year right here:

2006
Black
33K miles
Slee sliders, Slee rear bumper, Slee lift
TJM front
Winch
Lights

All work done by Slee

$33,000.00

I may jump on this...

Wow! Interesting that it has such high Slee content yet no Blueberry front. I'd love to see pics. Price sounds very fair considering year, mods, and miles. AHC?

Dennis, not sure about AHC. It looks to me that whoever bought this truck new, did the mods shortly afterwards. That explains the TJM as it was popular in 2006 and the Slee front was not out yet (I think). It also has the Slee single swing-out which allows us to better date the mods. I think someone bought it, modded it, ran it as a 2nd vehicle for 6 years and is ready to move on.

If you think about it, all this could be figured out in 5 minutes with a call to Christo!

That is a heck of a deal there. Tell you what Paul, you buy it, and I'll take yours?

The blueberry bumper was not out in 06. That's when I bought my TJM from Slee and would have held out if it had been closer to being ready.

Says 33K miles, is that off road??? I would want one that was not setup for big time off roading, I would want one like I got. Texas LX470 28K miles 1 owner lady that drove it only on road and looked like it was brand new. It was a 2004 and I bought it in 2007 for $33K.

Thats a nice LC and the price.. let me know if you are not getting it.. I might be interested...

I almost made the call...then I thought about how mine has lockers. It is quite the deal though. If I could get 20 for mine. I would do it. By the way...Send me tracking info on that Slee. I have a winch and tire on my Android package tracker and I would love to add the Slee so that I could sit there and hit refresh all day!

- Sent from a very small supercomputer.

Swap the axles! Easy switch. Should be a direct bolt with no need to take to a shop to monkey with the lash adjustment. I know there was a change to the propeller shaft diameter, but AFAIK the third members are the same.

Too late... google map my house tomorrow between 1:00 and 6:00 and you'll see me pulling it off the truck!

OK, google maps isn't quite that cool, but you can pretend to see me pulling it off the truck :D

Steen, you just had to ruin my Friday! I am not going to be very productive knowing that you are hoarding Slees up in Alpharetta.

Post pics when it gets here!!!

Whoops, this isn't the pic thread....

...So I've been eye-ballin' this 98 LC that a little old lady purchased new and hardly ever drove. Low miles, all records, etc. Thing is she had a heart attack and went to Cruiser heaven right then and there in the drivers seat. Do you guys think it would be bad karma to just go ahead and buy it? I mean, I was planning on getting a big ol' "RIP Gertrude - 1014-2011" decal for the back and all...

Personally, I am always weary of car ads in all caps...

That being said, this car is priced to sell. Just remember you are going to have to put at least $1500 in it off the bat, and it's a 2000, so there is that whole transmission issue...

I bought a 99 LC in March. 133,000 miles with almost the same description for $11,000.00 and still think it was a very good buy. Original owner was asking $13,000.00. The one you describe sounds like it has had the timing belt replaced too.
