2013 Tacoma

Going to be putting this on Craigslist and possibly on Autotrader soon. Great little truck that I bought new about 6 months ago. Asking $19,500. I have put a little bigger tire (265 75r16), bed mat and Husky Liner floor mats in it. Has stock touch screen, blue tooth radio. Has 5,000 miles on it. 4cylinder, 5 speed, 4x4. Gets about 22 mpg.

SOLD.

Enough to do a large fireplace. I do have a source in metro Atlanta for sand blasting sand, so I was wondering if there were other sources as well.
Looks like I am going to run friday over to Norcross to get what I need.
I got a big back at Tractor Supply. How much do you need? Enough for a cabinet or for outdoors?

Hi Guys, where can I get sand blasting media in metro atlanta (north side of town)?
Harbor freight has walnut shells, but they are a bit pricy.

Any other places?

Andrew,
A few years back when I needed more sand, it was not available from the local spots & I was not going to mail order it. I wound up getting blast furnace slag sized for media blasting. It works ok and was slightly higher cost than the sand I had been getting (I haven't exhausted the 10 bags I bought yet so it has been a while since I have been shopping). I got it from an industrial supply house not very far off I85 (north east side). I can check with my money manager for the company name if you need it.

However if sand is available at TSC, isn't there one reasonably close to you? (i.e., sounds like a good option even with a 40 minute drive).

Good luck.

Dang. THIS is really more like what I was looking for when I bought that SAS Tacoma recently. Albeit I can't afford one this new, but if it were extra cab and a little older it'd be perfect for me. Sid, if it hasn't sold in 5 years, let me know! :D

 Something I NEVER thought I'd hear anyone say! What is this world coming to when even the cheap s**t ain't cheap!

I found a place on Buford highway. They have several grades of sand at $8 per 100 lb bag. I will be running over there to get some later this week.
Thanks anyway.
I post up once I get started.

Thought I would say hello to everyone from here in Missouri! It's been a while since I've talked to y'all and I've done a ton to my truck since I saw y'all last. Missouri hasn't been the greatest market to try and sell my 80 and buy something else. Thought I might see if anyone might want to take a look. I would be willing to drive it back to Georgia if I had a buyer. Thanks guys for everything y'all have done!

PM me if you're interested.
Brian

Dang. Things keep popping up that are cheaper and better suited for having in Washington than the Taco I already bought. :/

Brian, if you need assistance getting in to parts southeast of you, hit me up. I'm in Memphis and will be going back towards Nashville, Knoxville and Atlanta a few more times before I transfer to Washington State in Feb.
GLWS.

Thanks Steve! I'll let you know if someone wants to buy it in the southeast. Interested to hear why you're moving to Washington state?

I'm in the Navy and my three years at this duty station is coming to a close. From Atlanta; 1st duty was a ship in Jax, FL; 2nd is shore duty here in Memphis, TN; next is an air base in NW WA.

The owner of a local starter/alternator repair shop has a stack of early model 8274 winches. He will fully repair and rebuild them with new motors, soloenoid packs, bearings, cable, fairlead and anything else it needs, back to virtually new condition, for $800-$1000. I don't know 8274's too well mechanically, but he says the older ones have stronger, better built internal parts so are more desirable. I know the Cruiser community loves these winches so I thought this might interest some of you.

Local to where? Atlanta, Memphis or Seattle??? Shipping would most likely be cost prohibitive.:grinpimp:

Haha, whoops! I'm normally the one complaining when people forget locations like that. :o

They are in Memphis just south of my base. Shipping can be worked with yours truly via MUDSHIP, but he said he's shipped winches to Washington State and it was only $55. If it was $1055 for a winch that's as good as new sans the paint probably, compared to one in a box with good paint for $1700........ :hhmm:

:hhmm: I paid $400 for mine but that price is really pretty good for a rebuilt old one.

Steve, is this guy online anywhere? I have a non-Toy friend with an old 8274 that has mentioned getting it rebuilt.

Sorry, I saw this but forgot to respond.

No, he is not online. It is a third-generation family-owned shop that does primarily drop off and pick back up kinds of work here in Memphis. The shop name is Dave's Armature in case you'd like to research or inquire with them. I could easily assist with transporting it but for how long it might take between my trips to Atlanta, it might be more worth the shipping costs.

Just let me know if I can help or if you have any other questions.

Thanks! Sounds like a great option, especially for the 8274 faithful!
