Too far north. Too far east.
I finished the install last night. It took three hours total ... 1.5 hours to install the elements in both seats and run the wires to the firewall, and 1.5 hours to finish the wiring. The test will be this weekend, but I do have a few observations.

The good. Over all this was too easy. I installed the elements between my seats and the Wet Okole seat covers. In the instructions you are supposed to remove the fabric from the foam and install the elements in between. This was easier. Once they get warmed up they were warm, but this morning was not a good test. They were $90 each delivered to my door, and I did both seats. I bought them from these folks.

The bad. My engine warms up faster. It's possible the seat covers insulated me from the elements, but by the time I arrived at work I my back was hot (on the high setting). As part of the install I bought their special 20mm hole saw for the switches. Problem is the saw they sold me was 22mm and is too large for the switches. Fortunately I measured it first. I've not had any response from the company regarding this problem. McMaster-Carr sells a 20mm hole saw for $5. This company charged me $10. Should have checked first.

dude,

you work like, what, three miles from work?

Yeah, but think about how cold he could get in that three miles.

Rory, have you thought about installing a warmer on the bike, along with a little generator that runs off a wheel? Seriously. Think about it.
