Lots of LCs in the deep south. I have been meaning to post an "Attention Alabama" thread for a long time to get us in touch with each other. Looks like this one worked pretty well. Any LC clubs in the Birmingham Area?? Looked around a few times but did not turn up anything. Need to start one if one does not exist already.

(OK, why can't I save this in ALL CAPS?)

They look nice,

33/11.50's...............

Those bastids are holding out on us 15 inchers!

oh well they look good on your old rig anyway

There is a "Deep South Cruisers" listed as the AL chapter in the TLCA chapter directory in Toyota Trails. But AFAIK, the club is defunct. I've never seen any indication of any club activities in the 'Trails. Now that I think about it, don't Cottonland Cruisers (MS) organize an annual Gray Rock run?

Hilux, I believe those tires convert to 33x12.50 in 'Murican measurements. Smallish these days but I'm not a hardcore wheeler. In fact, I have a set of those in 255/85 that are going to go on the new 80.

I actually saw a green 80 with an ARB w/warn, lightforce lights, and a rear tire carrier (probably more mods, but this is all I can remember) at Lowes on Lakeshore the other day.

I am always looking, but every 80 I pass has an elderly lady driving it.

War Eagle cruisers are active and have runs to Morris mountain, etc, other than that I don't know of any other club in Alabama. Cottenland does have an event at Gray Rock.

There are lots of trails in Jacksonville, Al open every weekend from mild to wild, if you guys are interested.

You should probably stick the the "mild" ones, eh 74?

I'm interested - just have to get my truck set up with some off road gear. It still looks like the picture, at the moment.

oh no...CHAT...I'm melting...:D

Thanks, looks like fun. Must check that out. BTW, my first cruiser was a red '74 FJ40. Getting all misty now.

It could be mine. I bought it in Birmingham about 8 years ago.

BAMA MUD members

I did not realize there were as many mud members in the area. I currently own a 97 sage green 40th (w/ARB 2.5 OME lift) and a 96 silver LX450 w/ ARB, 2.5 OME lift). I live in the Mountain Brook area. If anyone decides to get together as a group or for a tech session count me in.

Cheers

Thanks for the shout out....It is still a work in progress....installed winch this week....

Well, it is looking good so far. I especially like the Kaymar rear bumper.

Gunner,
I'm surprised I haven't seen you around. My parents live in Crestline. I drive a 40th Sage with an ARB winch bumper and an OME 2.5" lift as well.

I'm surprised i haven't seen either of you two yet b/c I work in Mtn. Brook. I'm usually in a big red truck and the LX450 is parked out on Old Leeds at St. 3.

If either of you are out on Old Leeds and see a champagne LX450 parked behind St. 3, stop by.
