no kidding. i'd probably would never have come across this if you hadn't excavated it. it certainly looks like a robust set up.

Yeah, I saw he was still active recently which is why I asked. I have been thinking about making something like this for a while and remembered seeing a thread on it so I went searching for ideas. This looks way nicer than anything I can build.
but 6 years would give you plenty of time to refine it to match what he's got going on

Yeah, I am still pretty active on 'mud. Thanks for the interest in this awning project. I haven't worked on this one in a couple years mostly due to tight finances and my workload at work. However, it is funny that this thread got revived at this time. I am revisiting this and want to make some progress on it this spring/early summer.

Yeah, I hear you...so many projects. I think this project is the most delayed of all the ones I have undertaken.
