Seems like a rapid prototype house could do them, don't know how well they would hold up to UV though.

So someone did get a message from him? Cool.. Hope this works out..

I am one of those fence-sitters Dan was/is referring to. I would love to have a pair for my DD and would prolly buy a spare set as well, tho I don't know if I'd have the heart to stock them for resale at the mark up they would need to make it worth it.

I will commit to buy one pair, but, like Dan said, would prefer to wait for tangible product before funds leave.

I'm starting to get a little PO'd. Anyone else lose faith here? This is getting ridiculous.

I don't have the "group" email in my mailbox anymore. Can someone get in touch with him and get an update?

And what did he tell you the time frame for delivery was? Or how many additional orders he needed....anything?

he told me the other day via email that he would have an update soon.

Good. I'm at a point where I can actually use them now. Work on my 45 had basically stopped back when I ordered these a year ago, but my time is open to start driving it again.

Has anyone heard from Robert lately?
Everytime I email him he says something like "final molds are done, I should have smaples in a week or two, " but it's been some months since I tried. I ordered two sets what seems like years ago now...

I emailed him and he gave me an address for his site.. but I couldn't get to it.. I'm in for a set. I need to email him again when I get back to be sure he knows.. :()

Thanks Mike.. the one he sent he forgot the f DOH..

Snip from this morning.....

Hey Everyone,

I know it's been awhile since I have sent out any updates,so here it is. I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I have given the go ahead to get the entire lot made. The bad news is that shipping will take 30 days. I had some learning experiences involving shipping. The first was that the 600 meters (300 meters of each style) weighs 700+ pounds and is of course is being shipped from Australia. A 5-7 air freight would be like $2700 OUCH ! So I decided on sea freight which is about $800. So hopefully I will get it all out to everyone in the next 60 days.

If there is anyone that has moved or you think I may not have your shipping, please make sure that I have all your correct information.

Please feel free to let anyone else know about this as I am in the red.

Thanks,

Robert Furman

quick question.. Most bug catchers I've seen are on corregated top 40 or 45.. Will the upper section of the window frame (with bug catchers) from a corregated 40 fit the top of a non corregated 40? I thought there were some differences in the corregated top but I don't remember what..

Ie take corregated top bug catcher doors and use them on a latter say 66 non corregated top cruiser?

doors will work. there may be a difference at the very top.

or are you talking about just the top sections on later model doors? top section will work on later model doors, but later model top won't work on early doors.

do you need to swap for later model doors?...i have a set. ;)

Sorry I didn't explain so well.. I have wing vent window doors.. 66. I was going to pull the top of the door off and put on the bug catcher tops. Will that work on a 66 style top.. I'm talking all pre 69 stuff here. Not the later 70's tops...

Do you still have those white doors?
