If it matters I’m interested I. Sliders

The buy is set up for skids, with shock guards and sliders as an option. To participate, you’re free to purchase partial skids and then add sliders. Or if you’re able to find another member buying skids, and then teaming up to add sliders.

Given that BB (a) isn't a large business and (b) has a stellar reputation for integrity with their products and customer service, I have no issue at all with placing a deposit. I'm ready to place an order as soon as the window closes and the code is ready. And thanks again, ty240, for organizing this!

I'm still upset that I ordered a full skid set only a few days before this was posted :bang:

Silly math question, is the understanding that the existing 15% is taken off and then there is an additional 25% off the remainder (~36.25% off net) or that the two are combined to be 40% off the initial amount?

Based on the existing 15% coupon on the website, stacking another 25% coupon will make the 36.25% off.

So, just checking my math. If I find a set of skids for 2070 before the 15% discount, is my price with the group buy 40% off the 2070?
And skids are $300 off if I go non powder coated?

Just curious, how are you all deciding between stainless steel and aluminum?

Vacillating back and forth between weight savings and strength with every breeze that blows by.

I’m not in the group buy as I only wanted a partial set and I ordered in November. For me the deciding factor was weight and intended usage. I went with aluminum for these reasons:

-I have no plans to go rock crawling but wanted protection from smaller debris on dirt and forest service roads.
-I wanted to keep additional weight to a minimum as I’ll be towing a 6K pound travel trailer and don’t want to exceed GVWR guidelines.

I chose BB over others due to their reputation, and the ease of access to the oil drain plug and filter.

I'm going with aluminum for the front and gas tank skid, with the rest unfinished 3/16" high carbon steel.

- plans to go rock crawling in far-away places so maximum protection is a must
- I'll save weight elsewhere ( rock rails instead of step sliders, maybe aluminum bumpers, no plans for roof top tent / dual battery )
- A re-gear and other engine / drive train mods are planned
- The money I save from painting the skids myself and going high carbon instead of stainless can go towards other mods

I'm in Pa and wheel the Pines of NJ with trucks and offload bikes , I'm just across the bridge in Pa I'm right on the Delaware river just outside Philadelphia , I'm going stainless due to all salt we get in PA and NJ , not sure if you run your rig in the winters , I try and avoid salt in winter , bare aluminum and steel look like crap after a few winters .
