Just got back from Colorado. Jon, sorry I didn't get in touch with you. End of year stuff was crazy.

For the rest of you, Colorado and the western states are amazing. There is so much public land for us to enjoy. As a family we decided that we are going back again in a few years.

Welcome back bud, look forward to seeing and hearing about your trip. Out West exploring is worth the time and coin for sure :)

Those turbo awd are fun. I have driven a subaru wrx. I would love to get one on a dirt track.

The WRX and AWD Outback Wagons ruled the Salt Lake area when I was working up that way and are a lot a fun even in the wagon version. Chris Wickman and I both bought the Evo's the first year they came to the states and raced them in the STU bracket with the WRX's, A4's and SRT4's in the local Sports Car Club of America events. It was a blast :)

Are their any planned group wheeling trips in the near future?

that should be "there" not "their"

Are their any planned group wheeling trips in the near future?

Several members are going to the SCC at Superlift in October :D That's as 'near future' for Paul and I as can be ;).

Some of the the LLK members are also going :)

I gave him a run down on the phone too :), we'll plan to get something on the calendar for September as well :)

I know it might not be the favorite place. But what about a trip to SI. It seems if I bring the two canopies for the tent it doesn't rain, and a big trip to tenn. isnt going to happen, so it might be a close thing to let the legs stretch. Maybe some time late this/early next month.

IMHO SI isn`t worth the fuel I burn to get there & I burn BIO.
it has to be perfect conditions not too likely spend three hours for a maybe or seven for a guarantied ability to:steer: do way too much damage the cost alone makes SL way cheeper and a whole lot more trails 1600 acres then there is wind rock 72k acres yes 14 hours but well worth the trip:) & Hawks pride 7 hours again does rain play a factor yes indeed but it dries up super fast will go again and one final not the three above mentioned parks appreciate you patronage and are up grading all the time.

I won't be able to make any summer trips to SI but by all means post up your plans and we'll see what kinda of interest there is in going and we can put it on the calendar. A September run isn't out of the question either and Holden and I make our regular November run company is welcome or on our own November is always a nice time for an SI run :)

Or. What about a run to somewhere in Texas? I havnt been wheeling that way, it might be fun for something new. Somewhere that is wheel able wet or dry.

There is nothing wrong with that either bud its certainly worth discussing Baker brought back contact info for the TTR Folks in Dallas if we wanted get together for a ride with them. It maybe a good option for our members/friends like Justin, Davin and Eric who are out that way to meet up with us as well :) I'll add it to our June meeting agenda.

I was thinking of a shake down Gilmer trip before SCC the other day. Let me know what y'all come up with!

That'll certainly be a good time for a shake down, we'll get you in on those plans bud :)

That is so nice of him...I hope if anyone new decides to attend, they are late as that upcoming meeting starts at 2 instead of 1 that day :frown:

D'oh, I'm off my game this week :( I'll send him the correction thank you Ma'am
