I went round and round...I had a 2008 FJ Cruiser in immaculate condition with the off round package, a lift and only 16,000 miles. I couldn't (wouldn't) take it off road though.
I got into this whole addiction 5 years ago when I bought Scott's old 40. Like Larry said, I have had a 40 and an 80 and I wanted to get back out on the trails with the best Land Cruiser Group in the nation. I looked at 40's and 80's...even though I have loved 40's forever, I decided that the most important thing was getting something that I could take the whole family in comfortably and could get there without towing, etc.
So I found an 80 that I couldn't pass up on and bought it this weekend.
I'll get another 40 one day, and am actually still considering buying Ross's, I decided that if there could only be one...it had to be an 80.
Side note though...I bought the wife a new highlander a couple of weeks ago so she is all smiles right now and I probably only have a limited amount of time to pick up these toys!

Thanks for the compliment bud, Cheers! I'm still waiting to see this new whip :), tell Jonna congrats on her new ride I was telling Rebecca she got one this past weekend. I don't think I can hold her off more than a year thats what I have left to own the Dodge and no more vehicle note but I have a feeling I won't get to enjoy that long. She's all over with what she's going to replace it with another Sequoia, 4-Runner and she likes the Highlander too I'm just pushing for something with better mpg I have a driveway full of tanks now :)
 
Thanks for chiming in guys! I think the 80 will stay and when the time is right a 40 will enter the stable! I need to hitch a ride in one, maybe SCC.

The purpose of this post was one to vent, and two to make sure I'm not losing it! I'm so fricken enamored that I'm not sure I'm thinking soundly. Should I hold off and wait for the :princess: to warm up to the idea of getting another Cruiser (could be a year or 2), or should I pursue such a venture?

do not sell the 80 for a 40, you'd regret it (and never hear the end of it) - add a 40 to the fleet

40s are bomb diggity, but many in this here part of the country have been adulterated too much :mad:

I had 1st wondered why people would want a goose neck trailer with small axles. But i see a lot of lawn care people use them because of the better trurning radius you get from this trailer.

Sorry to hear bud it sure was, I'm out at the Scout Summer camp in Ville Platte and I've already changed twice today and will need to change again before the drive home tonight. Super humid :( I did spy this Scout leader's cool Toy. I'd bring it home right now the interior is super clean and it looks solid :)

Does anyone know anything about the Warn VR10000 Series Winch. It is supposed to be for "heavier" rigs and can pull 10,000 lbs., but is listed as "entry level". It states that it is for someone that wants extra power without breaking the bank. I found an online store that has it with a 100' 3/8 synthetic rope for $829 with free shipping.
I'm just trying to figure out the best option for the 80. The Warn XP 9500 that was on my old 80 is about $1400.
