Swapped out the front coils today. You can see that spring rate makes much more of a difference than the length of the uncompressed spring in relation to lift achieved. I net 1.5" more lift from the swap. Im guessing I am about 5.5" above stock now. The on-road ride is MUCH more to my liking now. We will see how they do off-road.

IRONMAN 4" vs. FOR 3.5" Fronts coils springs.

FOR 3.5" - measured 5" tire to wheel well.

Got the body mounts ground off, again. I am working on relocating them to the inside of the frame rails. Thats the only way i will be able to get the bob as tight as I want it. Sun went down on me, Ill get back to work tomorrow morning.

4 cut off blades down this morning. I am going to make this thing as short as humanly possibly while still keeping a functional tail-gate.

damn im lovin it!!! looks bad ass

Hey that's my rear body. Lol. It's good too see it going together.
Im scrapping the rest of the cruiser Monday.

No glass. Still want to keep it light. Might cut some plexiglass or get some lexan cut to fit. Once I get it back together Ill figure all that out.

Stitching her back together. I think this is about the most you can bob and still keep the tailgate structure solid. Ill find out if it rubs when I go wheeling. I tried to do some creative cutting to cover up the side marker light holes, and the filler door. It sort of worked. Ill have to weld in some tiny patches from where I got a little to greedy with the cut off wheel. Then ill lay down a layer of bondo to clean things up.

agreed. About where mines ended up.

I didn't bondo since I knew I was beating the piss outta mine soon anyway. You should do yours, cause it's gonna look sweet! I'm guessing the dove is no longer on the table?

Upon further thought I decided against the dove for now, for multiple reasons. Number one being, I wanted a roof. Doving WITH the roof.... maybe one day.:hmm:

Sun came back out. Grabbed a few pictures.

No more fuel door:

After I clean up the welds and paint her, Im going to tackle the interior. Routing the filler hose somewhere different, along with an new floor, and larger wheel wells. Here is my empty canvas:
