guys what ratio of brakepad life do you get from your 80? my rig is on its third pair of front pads vs first pair on rears. and the rears look like they haven't shown that much wear yet. i did a complete brake job 2 years ago.the first pair of front pads lasted 8,000km. when i installed the second pair of fronts, i adjusted the lspv so the second pair of front pads doubled its lifespan to 16,000km. now on the third pair of front pads, i am still planning to adjust the lspv further for more pressure on rear. what normal pad lives do you get out of your 80s? i use original toyota pads. my front pads are 80 series pads (100 series pads aren't plug and play on a 91):)

I've never had to change brake pads on either of the 80's I've owned. My first 80, I bought it and drove it 40k miles without changing anything except the oil. The 80 I have now, I've put almost 30k miles on it and I haven't changed the brakes on it either. I'm not sure when the brakes were changed on either one before I got them, but my brakes seem to last forever. I think a lot has to do with how flat it is here. The only hills we have are over-passes on the freeway.

Mine wear about the same front to rear. That's what they should do, I believe.

Most any rig will wear the fronts first rears last if adjusted right. Most of your stoping force comes from your front so you stay in control as you stop.

In all the cars that I have replaced pads (VW Touareg, VW Jetta, Jeep Commander, Rav4) the front always wear faster than the rears. My LC has a 2.5in lift and I never adjusted the LSVP. Both front and rear wear at the same rate, and the last set I changed lasted 30k miles
