Hey just wanted to see what you guys think.

I'm doing a complete front end overhaul on my 1982 BJ42 and my master cylinder is looking a bit tired. The plastic has lots of little cracks in it and probably only has a few more years left in it. I'm planning on driving this car pretty hard so I want it to hold up and not let me down in the middle of no where. I have factory front disks and rear drums.

I want to replace it with a genuine one but I've looked online and there doesn't appear to be any OEM ones left in Australia. City Racer and a few other American sites still have some but our Aussie dollar is pretty s*** at the moment and postage will blow the cost out to over $300 Australia which is a bit ridiculous.

Is there any other Toyota/Aisin master cylinders that will bolt straight up like from a 60 or 80 series?? I hate the idea of swapping out my original TEQ stamped master cylinder for some Chinese s***.

Thanks!!

Sorry I hate to bump, but I want to order this master cylinder tomorrow and I'd love it if someone could help!

Are you searching for Advics brand. That's the new replacement name. I think your part number would be BMT061. I just bought one myself for my 81 40

Here is one to look at.
This is what I put on my 72 FJ40 converted from 4 wheel drum brakes to drums on rear with a disc brake front axle.
Brake Master cylinder for a NON_ABS 1993 Toyota Landcruiser.
Mine is Centric part number 13044720, Rockauto shows a current price of US $79.
Nice aluminum body master cylinder.

This brake master bolted right to the Toyota brake booster and required no separate proportioning valve.
The spacing of the 4 bolts holding it to the booster measure 45mm vertical and 75mm horizontal (best measurement I can get with it mounted in the truck).

Good luck.

Awesome you legends!
I knew someone would know. I was only looking up Aisin, I never thought to look at the other Toyota family companies.
So Advics is the now OEM.
I'll buy one of the Ebay ones from the States. Thanks heaps!

Man this knuckle build is really starting to blow out! Knuckle kit with wheel bearings, master cylinder, Aisin locking hubs, new slotted rotors, new heavy duty pads, paint, moly grease, htb grease, brake caliper rebuild kit and brake fluid so far. Wowee
