1975 front drum brake cylinders. I have taken them apart, but I’m not sure if they are completely apart. And if not, what methods to get it apart.

Parts diagrams suggest that other end comes out, but I can’t find any thread that talks about it. And the FSM is super vague. Thanks in advance.
 
That other piston needs to come out of the cylinder bore. Take the adjuster piston apart and clean and grease the threads. You'll thank yourself later.
 

You can pull on the notch piece. You might need to rotate it some to brake it free - no threads holding it in. Try wrapping the unit in a rag and apply compressed air threw the bleeder valve to try and blow it out. I use anti seize compound on the bleeder threads. Later if you use a vacuum bleeder you might need to use really thick grease to get it sealed. Two people one on the valve and one on the pedal doesn't have that issue. I use only "real red rubber grease" everywhere else

A hammer and a punch, preferably brass. knock it out from the back side. The cylinder is hollow.
 
Put the free piston back in, find a short bit of pipe or a large socket that goes over the stuck piston and locates against the slave body. Put all this in a vice then screw a grease nipple into the slave - have never found one the right thread but can normally find one that will go in a thread or 2, doesn't have to be tight. now pump out with grease gun
 
So to follow up, brute force did not work. Grease pump trick did. And if you happen to have a Terrain Tamer suspension with greasable shackles, the grease fitting is a perfect fit for the brake cylinders.

But I still can’t get the middle section out. I have it soaking in Evaporust to see if that will help. Stay tuned…

No it's not. Single piston so it's cast and part of the unit.

My front w cylinder are single acting and are not bored threw but its a 72.

So to follow up, brute force did not work. Grease pump trick did. And if you happen to have a Terrain Tamer suspension with greasable shackles, the grease fitting is a perfect fit for the brake cylinders.

There is no middle section, it's part of the housing. The adjuster side and hydraulic side are seperate.

My bad, on my 72 they were double acting and sometime in a previous life someone else mismatched left and right hand threaded adjusters - thought I was going nuts trying to adjust.
