So you can adjust the brake pedal switch. Just FYI :)
When you install a new booster make sure you adjust the switch

fixed. ID10T error :)

fixed!

Glad to hear it--so often we look for the complicated before the simple when its our own junk, I know that and still do it:lol::lol:

I have a problem but I feel mine is going to be a much bigger challenge...
I am on a huge time crunch and I am leaving to CT come August and I am almost done with my 72 Cruiser and as I was in the middle of putting an aftermarket wiring harness in and I ended up pulling it all back out and just putting in the stock wiring because it wasn't actually all that bad and it would save me time.
I had cut off some connectors: Ignition, Light switch, Hazards.. brake switch, turn signals
I put them back on using what I would have been the same wires except for maybe some GW, GY and GO wires... how do you tell which one goes where or does it even matter?
I put the connectors all back on including the Brake switch and turn signals. I got to a point now that I can switch the lights on and my rears come on. ( I don't have any front lights on yet since I don't have the front cowl or fenders yet back.) I take it that when I get my front lights that when I pull the light switch out all the way those would switch on.

My hazard switch works well and I can see the rear lights blink even when the lights are on they will blink so I'm guessing I have the hazard hooked up fine.
My Turn signals will not do anything at all and neither will my brake light switch.. I have all the wires hooked up right I'm sure but nothing goes.
I had one point where I could hold the turn signal down and I heard the flasher going but the rear lights weren't doing anything.

I'm thinking I have a bad brake light switch possibly.
Now all of a sudden when my ignition key is off my brake warning light will switch on and my Main relay ( I have a 3FE installed ) will stay on. When I plug in the brake switch I can hear the main EFI relay switching on?? when I unplug the brake switch it switches off along with the brake warning light.

Also my right hand indicator light doesn't work when I have the Hazards on.. The left indicator light works but I have the lights out of the dash and everytime I put them back into their socket on the dash I get a spark and they turn off.

I hope someone can figure something out that I havent been able to see. I am very patient man but this is starting to wear thin on me..
I pulled the wiring back out of the dash again to better figure it out.

Weatherm, I had the same problem on my 72 recently and it was caused by the small rubber bumper falling off of the brake pedal. It is the rubber stop that actuates the brake light switch. With it gone the 1/4" space was enough to not turn the brake light swith off. Small rubber button available from Toyota. Hope this helps! Ben

Similar thing on my 71 the little rubber nipple on the brake peddle arm that engages the switch was partly worn and brake lights would either stay on or if I tapped them a few times finaly go off and then not go on when I pressed the brake pedal. I jimmied it but didn't know Toyota still has the part, Kuhndog do you have the part #?
