Brake bulletin finally issued (3 Viewers)

My dealer just called me and I’m scheduled Tuesday at 9am for new brakes and rotors.

A bulletin was issued apparently!

The re-bedding process didn't work for you? Keep us posted on the install
Are they simply installing a new set of pads and rotors or "updated" Pads/Rotors?

Mine woke up this morning blending in with my tinnitus pretty well. Glad we humble Toyota peasants are finally allowed to get our brake noise fixed now that our Lexus brothers were taken care of first.

Only pads and a shim kit are being replaced for Cruisers, 4-Runners and Tundras. My advisor told me that rotors were originally included in the fix but later removed when Toyota realized what needed to actually be fixed to stop the squealing.

GX and LX’s bulletin does get pads, shims and rotors replaced.

All parts are “new/different” from original parts installed and not being replaced with defective parts.
