My dealer just called me and I’m scheduled Tuesday at 9am for new brakes and rotors.
A bulletin was issued apparently!

Glad it worked for ya. For now ; )My 2025 Landcruiser 250 started getting the screech in reverse about 2 weeks ago, over the weekend I performed a quick brake re-bedded and the issue has gone away (for now)
The re-bedding process didn't work for you? Keep us posted on the installGlad it worked for ya. For now ; )
I feel like buying a set of the original brake pads before they become obsolete. I'm afraid the new retrofit pads will cause excessive brake dust and faster pad wear, hopefully i'm incorrect. The pads that came on my lc250 have zero brake dust (even on the wheel color combination I have).Only pads and a shim kit are being replaced for Cruisers, 4-Runners and Tundras. My advisor told me that rotors were originally included in the fix but later removed when Toyota realized what needed to actually be fixed to stop the squealing.
GX and LX’s bulletin does get pads, shims and rotors replaced.
All parts are “new/different” from original parts installed and not being replaced with defective parts.

just head out on a country road and re-bed the brake pads. I cycled mine about 5 times on a low grade in the 40mph range. I would recommend 65-70 mphMine woke up this morning blending in with my tinnitus pretty well. Glad we humble Toyota peasants are finally allowed to get our brake noise fixed now that our Lexus brothers were taken care of first.
Did you do anything to clean the rotors/pads first, or just the re-bed?just head out on a country road and re-bed the brake pads. I cycled mine about 5 times on a low grade in the 40mph range. I would recommend 65-70 mph
No cleaning, the heat from the friction of the pad/rotor contact surfaces will bake off any residue and transfer the brake pad material to your rotors.Did you do anything to clean the rotors/pads first, or just the re-bed?
