Happy reading.
Another dealer induced nightmare but this has a good ending.
Do you have NAV? Mark Levinson? Is there a better option for the factory stereo in the 100's??? It works fine but it looks like my dad's old TV from the 50's. I'd love to upgrade this with something soviet-made from the 60's at least.

Pull it all out, replace head unit with Pioneer (NO APP RADIO or APPLE CARPLAY!!! both terrible - you can use waze, stream pandora, etc without carplay. But carplay will NOT support waze.
Replace speakers with Pioneers if you're cheap, Polk if you're thrifty, or CDT audio if you're fancy. Bypass/ignore all the factory stuff and put an aftermarket amplifier in place. Most important if you go with the better speakers. The head unit should throw about 15 watts into the speakers which is fine for factory or the cheap/midrange speakers.
This will only apply to 100s that don't have the climate control integrated into the NAV/stereo unit......Not including speakers...
Ours does have the Nav and climate controls in the head unit. What are the options for these units?
