On your turbo 80 or the LX?
Both are 97 LXs but the turbo truck had the ABS removed before I bought it.

On your turbo 80 or the LX?
The first transcontinental package arrive on the wrong/east coast. Although UPS did their best to rain on the parade, it’s looking like everything came through in tact.
For those on the bench, or waiting for theirs to get shipped.

I’m 6’4” and fairly built, and admittedly had just got home from arm day; I found the size and weight of the Bog Warner to be extremely satisfying. I’m happier than when I first played with a set of double d’s. Great work Joey!
I’m looking forward to burning some leave and turning some wrenches!
And did you get the throttle/accel cable heat wrap? I don't see that.
A/C line wrap is on.
Throttle cable wrap, I don’t think so. Was it the same type as the A/C line?
I took it for a 60 second spin around the block. There are stop signs at each intersection, so I don’t think I had enough space to really let it spool up. I did hear valve “clatter” sounds when I smashed the pedal. Not sure if that’s what people call “pinging”? Could that be a timing thing?
Joey, a quick Q about gauge adaptability.
I’m doing the 14in1 display kit.
Shop said oil pressure, or temp, can’t remember which they said, plumbs into the adapter at the stock oil pressure gauge (peace pipe), the other gauge needs a sandwich plate adapter between the block & oil filter.
Can you confirm only one aftermarket gauge can be installed to the peace pipe? It’s buried under engine & cant see it.

Joey said his peace pipe has 3 ports. Oil hose, stock sender gauge, & oil temp gauge port.I am a little confused why the shop thinks they need a sandwich plate between the block and filter? They could get temp and pressure from the peace pipe. Unless the 14in1 has a specific requirement for one of them.

It sounds like I need a 4th port for a pressure gauge. So the sandwich style adapter. Unless I’m not understanding.
It looks like this is what my shop was looking for, under $40, should work-it shows comparable with our engine.

URD Oil Filter Sandwich Plate Adapter for Sensor Ports
This sandwich plate adapter installed under the oil filter and gives you three ports for installing oil pressure and temperature sensors and provides an oil source for a turbocharger. Fits Toyota trucks that use a spin on type oil filter.www.urdusa.com
Back to regular turbo scheduling. I probably should have asked this in the thread about gauges, but maybe it’ll help someone else out too.
If it wasn’t for the trans-go kit, guages, & my shop wanting to wrap the main engine wiring harness as it comes through the firewall, it’s basically done!!View attachment 2080092View attachment 2080093View attachment 2080094View attachment 2080096
