Been working on these for a while. We wanted to design some mounts that worked with a 1999 - 2007 truck accessory drive & intake that bolted in place. They clear the factory steering box and require no frame modification of any kind. It seems like that (plus wiring) is the biggest hang-up for people wanting to do an LS conversion in an 80 series.

We designed them around the commonly used Marks 4WD adapters for the 4L60E & HF2a or 4L80e & HF2a. You may need to slightly slot your crossmember to get it all to line-up properly in the back.

Engine placement is very good. Hood closes with no problem, plenty of room for GM truck accessory drive. No fabrication, grinding or cutting required. Our mounts require at least a 2.5″ lift and running a 2010-2013 Camaro pan & pickup tube. 4″ lift is ideal for optimum driveline, steering linkage & oil pan clearance. We always recommend a high clearance driveline.

We're about to produce our first full-scale production batch. We are running a special pre-production price, plus mud members get an additional 10% off with the code ih8mud on our website.

Anyways, let me know if you guys have any questions or feedback! We're excited to offer these high quality made in USA mounts to the Land Cruiser community.

ORDERED!!!

Just picked up an 05 5.3 w/ an L460E on Sunday!
This will save my #ss from having to weld in now mounts because:
1) I can't weld,
2) no 220 in my garage,
3) saves me from having to coordinate w/ my 1 friend that has a welder that can run on 110 or 220

Stoked to see someone step up and commit to making this option!
Woody is a stand-up guy and glad to see more products coming out from @CruiserShop.
These guys have a crazy good attention to detail.

Thank you! Yes, this is the first of many items that should make the life of both the shadetree & professional Cruiser mechanic's life easier. It's fun to wrench, but it's even funner to use our Land Cruisers, so we're hoping to make products that help you do that.

Awesome! Thank you for the order. We really appreciate it! I want to see lots of pictures, your rig sounds killer!

Have had a few questions about if these will work with a 4l80e & 6.0, the answer is a big fat YES. Post updated to reflect that.

Have not tested with a 6L80e yet but will be testing out the fitment of that soon.

Also wondering about 6L80. If I put an LS in, it’s certainly going to have at least 6 gears. I drive a Tahoe with 5.3 and 6L80. Amazing combination, 4x4 on 31-32” tires and steel wheels.
Even though on paper it has ~60 hp and ft-lbs less than Toyota 5.7 v8, the 5.3 moves the Tahoe as well as 5.7 in 200 series.

Edit* I meant that 5.3 and 6L80 (320 hp 335 ft-lbs) were an amazing combination (not the Tahoe) for moving a Tahoe 4x4 with 3.42 gears, and 31-32” ATs on steel wheels.

Despite lower rating, it moves as well as my 5.7, 6 speed 200 on 33-34” TRD Rock Warrior Wheels with 4.88s.

Anyway I am a fan of LS motors, especially for swaps. My 5.7 Toyota has been extremely temperamental with emissions systems.

Is there any rubber or dampening type bushing or isolator in the mount?

I had a old Hilux crawler I built with dual cases, etc and to help solve broken motor mounts I put in some similar motor mounts as those look that were very rigid unlike the stock ones but the amount of vibration they transferred through the cabin including the noise was not pleasant. Ended up going back to stock OEM mounts and a Tcase backing plate crossmember with integrated isolators to take the torque load.

Just something I thought when I saw those mounts which do look great and I'm sure will make engine swap projects go much smoother!

Nice this makes it easier for motor placement.
That's the idea - to take the voodoo out of this stuff!
OH! Missed the inline link, sorry!
Trying to be sneaky and as unspammy as possible. :)
Will these work with a LS3 6.2L crate?
Yes but depending on your pulley/accessory set up you might not have perfect clearance around other things in the engine bay. Hard to say unless you have a specific setup in mind. Although worst case it might involve moving something in the engine bay slightly or a different pulley configuration. Nothing insurmountable.

Yes we use a sleaved tube style bushing. They isolate the engine nicely.

This will work with any LS long block they’re all dimensionally the same
Yes it will, other than the caveat of accessory drives. Car style intake will not be an issue as it is lower than the truck intake. Depending on the motor you *might* have interference with your accessory drive, there are so many different options there, it's on a motor by motor basis honestly. We designed the placement around 1999 - 2007 truck motor, but the mounts will interface with any GM LS block.

I just ordered a set of these! What have you guys been using for exhaust manifolds/headers with your swaps?

Hooker P/N 8501 Manifolds. And thank you for your order! We will be shipping the initial production batch out soon, just hit the minimum quantity for the laser cut company. Thanks everyone for your support on this project. Look for another very helpful item for 80 series LS conversions soon.

If anyone is on the fence about ordering a set, I'll be ending the pre-order pricing on Friday next week. So get those mounts ordered up! ;)
